New Team

Combining speed and sound, Baker Curb Racing is bringing a new tune to Nashville and the NASCAR Nationwide Series. After acquiring Brewco Motorsports last fall, Nashville businessman Gary Baker combined forces with record executive Mike Curb to found Baker Curb Racing.

Based out of the Nashville area, the team became a vision of Baker and Curb’s based on their passions for racing and a desire to bring a new professional team to the city landscape which would help satiate the desires of local NASCAR fans.

History
Baker and Curb both hold solid resumes in the motorsports realm. Baker, a former track owner, and Curb, a former car sponsor and owner, both have extensive racing experience on both the Sprint and Nationwide series levels.

Baker previously owned Bristol Motor Speedway and also the Nashville Speedway when it was host of two Sprint Cup races a year. Curb, with over 40 years of racing experience, is best known for his involvement with the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Richard Petty. Curb sponsored Earnhardt’s 1980 Sprint Cup Championship car and owned the famous Petty #43 when it pulled into Victory Lane for his 200^th win at Daytona in 1984.

With the combination of the two, the dynamic duo is expecting to produce more trips to Victory Lane behind rising young star Brad Coleman who is behind the wheel of the No. 27 Kleenex® Ford Fusion. The race team will also field the No. 37 Ford Fusion driven by Brad Baker and various other drivers throughout the season.

In 2008, Baker Curb Racing looks to make its own sweet melody in the Music City and on the race track.
